Here are some opinions from actual owners of this pink laptop by Acer:

I love this cute pink laptop, it works very well! It is fast, light, very easy on the eyes and quite robust. The price just makes it the most amazing deal I can imagine. Why buy an expensive laptop when this one can do basically everything you need a laptop for, for 1/4 the price of the cheapest MacBook! I highly recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a new pink laptops. Of course, its not a gaming machine, or for graphics, etc. But that’s not really what I envision laptops to be useful for anyways, especially small ones like this.

Here is another positive review on this feature-rich pink machine:

This is a great little machine. The processor is very fast, Atom N570 is a dual core with hyperthreading. It appears as 4 cores to Windows 7. The hard drive is 250GB and that is massive for a machine like this. The computer comes with Windows 7 Starter and it has MicroSoft Office installed as well. You need a product key to use the office software and the instructions are very clear as to how you can purchase a license key or use an existing key. The batter charges quickly and lasts a long time. We are easily getting 4 hours with the battery. It comes with 1GB of RAM so we purchased a 2GB memory card with the intention of an upgrade.

To install the RAM, you must remove the keyboard to gain access to 5 screws that hold the bottom cover. The disassembly process is not documented but is easier than it sounds. A good youtube video shows you how to do it. To remove the keyboard, you need a small screwdriver. Start near the delete key or the esc key and just pop the keyboard up. The tabs that hold it in place a spring loaded so push the tab back, get the screwdriver under the keyboard and it will pop up. 2GB of RAM makes a world of difference!

Expect the usual 2 – 3 hours to download all of the Microsoft Windows Updates and to get the AV software up to date. We are using the unit with Microsoft Office Professional, Firefox and more. This is the perfect device for a college student that requires both portability and power.

The hardrive is very quiet but it is not the fastest drive on the market. At 250GB, it is more space than we plan to use with this little computer.

We also booted the system with Ubuntu 11 and it worked perfectly. The 1GB of RAM is more than enough for Linux. Ubuntu had drivers for the wireless, sound, keyboard and monitor. We did not need to manually install any drivers at all.

Not Everybody Wants a Pink Laptop!

I found this interesting article over at laptopmag.com about why someone never wants a pink laptop – just thought I’d share it with all you pink laptop shoppers, just to help you keep in mind that not EVERYONE in your life is going to want a pink laptop! Enjoy :)

“I have been meaning to get this off my chest for a while: I hate pink notebooks. And seeing the release of the baby pink Samsung NC10 —one of my favorite netbooks on the market—I have just about had it with companies slapping pink on their current notebooks to make them appeal to women. First, let me start off by saying I have never been a pink lady. I never liked pink dresses when I was a little girl and my room was never outfitted like that of Elle Woods; no pink boas, curtains, or tutus in sight. Oh, and Paris Hilton’s pink-outfitted Bentley makes me want to throw up.  But even if I liked the color pink, I think I would still hate pink laptops (and I am not the first to say it, either). Too often these days we see notebooks vendors and other consumer electronics manufacturers (cell phone, MP3 makers), trying to reach out to the female market by simply (or half-assedly, if you ask me) taking an existing product and making it pink. And its not typically a solid pink either; it tends to be that wretched muted Barbie, newborn-baby pink. Sure, some women do like pink, but most are attracted to a lot more than the color; they want a product that is modern, sophisticated, sleek, and useful. That is why a survey in 2007 found that only 9 percent of women thought it was important that gadgets looked “feminine.” Turning a notebook or netbook pink doesn’t make it for a woman; in fact, many woman prefer the typical white, silver, and black schemes. The pink in my mind is patronizing; it says, “Hey, we got this in pink! Now it’s perfect for women!” This isn’t to say companies aren’t already going beyond the pinkwashing. For instance, Sony’s P Series is aggressively marketed toward women and comes in a variety of hues. And that is exactly what I would like to see: notebooks coming in a selection of stylish and bold colors, and if baby pink is one of them, so be it. So, before you buy your special gal a pink laptop (or gadget) this upcoming Valentine’s Day, make sure you know she wants one, unless you’re okay with sleeping on the couch for a month. Note: Pink products that support Breast Cancer research are totally fine in my book.”

Pink Laptop Brand Guide

Since more and more people are looking for high quality pink laptops, manufacturers are now designing more of them. Various companies sell different colored laptops. Here are a few that manufacture cute pink laptops:

Pink Dell Laptops

Dell has a great reputation and is very high profile. They also have an impressive array of pink laptops. They are one of the most recognized computer manufacturers in the world, and they actually produce more pink laptops than other computer companies. Consumers with a budget can find a high quality pink dell laptop with many updated features and software options for around $500.

Dell has pink laptop options for every stylista. They even have a laptop that helps fund breast cancer research – it’s called the Promise laptop. You can find it here (LINK). $10 from every pink case and $5 from every netbook goes towards the Susan G. Komen for the cure fund.

Dell’s laptops range from mini-laptops to regular notebooks with screen sizes as big as 17 inches and as small as 9 inches. Their prices range from about 800 to 300 and they are known for their fashionable sense of style, useful functionality, and rock-solid reliability.

Pink Sony Laptops

The pink VAIO laptops by Sony are highly rated and very comparable to it’s competitor’s pink laptops. The pink VAIO is trendy and stylish, as well as totally functional. Their displays range from 11 to almost 16 inches and they seem to have a relatively long lasting battery life. The price range is a little more expensive than Dell, going from about 500 to 1200 dollars. Sony’s laptops are great for playing games, watching movies, surfing the net, and chatting with friends.

Pink HP Laptops

Hp doesn’t sell pink laptops – but they do sell pink MINI laptops, or netbooks. They are only 1 inch thick and are super easy to transport! You get a great bang for your buck with these mini laptops, as their models range from about 250 to 400 dollars. They have great keyboard sizes for being pink netbooks, and their screens are about 9-10 inches. Mouse buttons are available on both sides of the mouse pad, and there’s even a webcam and microphone, along with a speaker. HP even carries pink laptop cases to turn any laptop you choose into a personalized statement.

Many reviewers are very happy with HP’s pink netbooks and mini-laptops, stating that they are “small, compact, fit just right in my purse/backpack and weigh less than 3 lbs – I love it!” Then again, some shoppers have reported slow loading times with these netbooks. This is typical, though, as many netbooks aren’t equipped for heavier processing such as video, music, and photo sharing and editing – bigger laptops are recommended for these tasks.

ASUS Pink Laptops

Asus has laptops in many colors that can satisfy both a fashion craving and a computer nerd. They have laptops ranging from 7-10 inches and 300-500 dollars. They are simple laptops that any average joe can easily set up and use out of the box, without requiring any technical knowledge or manual. Their graphic interface is very user friendly, and they have a shock protection feature that makes their pink laptops extra durable. They have a range of hard drive sizes, as well as speakers on each side of the computer.

SUMMARY

In conclusion, you should research each brand and line of pink laptops on your own to make sure you are purchasing the right pink laptop for your needs. Then, you can comparison shop online for the best price once you’ve picked out what you want. An informed shopper for pink laptops is a happy shopper!

Pink Laptop Prices: What You Should Know

Prices for many electronics, including pink laptops, have come down significantly in the past few years. Some pink laptops and netbooks sell for very cheap, at around $300, while some others are much more expensive at around $1,000 or even higher. In this article we’re going to examine what you get for different price points when buying a pink laptop.

For starters, netbooks are different from notebooks. Netbooks are capable of lighter tasks than notebook s (regular laptops.) They are usually used for things such as searching the web and editing text documents. Pink netbooks tend to come with less features and software programs than pink laptops/notebooks. Their keyboards are also smaller. The good thing about pink netbooks is that they are indeed very inexpensive! You can get a brand new netbook for less than $500 – usually around $300 or so. That’s the same amount you would spend on gourmet coffee if you bought one every day for 2 months!

If you need to complete more heavy duty tasks such as using streaming video and music, playing video games that require a lot of memory, or editing projects in programs like photoshop or dreamweaver, you will need a higher end laptop than a netbook. Putting in the extra money to get a bigger computer with better processing capabilities, memory, and graphics cards can definitely be worth it – especially if you work from home or have important school projects to complete. Having a cheaper pink laptop isn’t worth it if it’s going to make your life stressful because you can’t get the things done that you need to.

It’s important to keep in mind that just because a laptop has a lower price doesn’t mean it’s a better deal. Sometimes it’s wiser to spend a little bit more money on your pink laptop to get what you need. For example, the Sony VAIO is a great choice for a pink laptop because it’s price is very mid-range, not too high and not too low. Compared to cheaper netbooks and other pink mini-laptops, this model has more features and seems to be sturdier. It’s not a super-high end computer that has features you’ll never use, but it’s also not such a lightweight that you can’t get important tasks done. It can handle programs like Photoshop and most video games. Overall, you are getting a better deal by spending a little bit more.

The point is that instead of just shopping for whatever pink laptop is the cheapest, you should first shop for your needs, then try to find a deal on the laptop you need based on your research. Don’t buy a netbook if you need to use heavy programs, but you don’t need to waste money on a full blown laptop if you’re only going to use Word and Firefox. Take your decision seriously and you will end up with the right pink laptop for you!

Where to Buy a Pink Laptop

If you’ve found this website, you’re likely looking to buy a pretty pink laptop or are researching to see what kind of pink laptops are out there. Before you buy, you will definitely want to know what kind of pink laptops are available right now in 2012, and what their strengths and weaknesses are. Here at pink-laptop.net you will find reviews about pink laptops, as well as guides on pink laptop accessories, pink laptop bags, and other things related to pink computers.

Pink Laptop vs Netbook

One of the first things to consider before you make your purchase is what kind of actual laptop you’d like to buy. Do you need a full on portable computer or will a netbook be enough for you? The main differences are price, size, memory, and computing capabilities. If you need to use heavy duty programs such as Photoshop or games that use a lot of RAM, a netbook will not suffice. If you are mostly browsing facebook and chatting with friends, though, a full on portable pink laptop might be too much for you! So the first step before you make any purchases is to decide what kind of laptop you want – heavy duty laptop style or light-weight netbook style – and then pick what features you’d like from there. Then, you can decide where you’d like to buy it from!

Pink Laptop Stores

Once you’ve decided what you want in a pink laptop, it’s time to buy. You can go to your closest store that carries laptops if you want, but buying online is much more convenient – and it can save you money! Comparison shopping online is much easier than going store to store. Also, you can check websites each day to see if the prices for pink laptops are going down or if there are any special deals. This way, you can get the perfect pink laptop at the perfect price!!

We recommend Amazon for all of your pink laptop needs – not only because it is such a large, trustworthy source of buying things online, but because they make it easy to comparison shop and find awesome accessories that other people who are interested in pink laptops also like! Just searching “pink laptop” on their site will give you many results. You can even look at reviews from other customers to see how good the laptop is. In a store, customer reviews of pink laptops aren’t accessible.

Although Amazon is a great place to buy your pink laptop, other good resources include the actual manufacturer websites, such as Dell, Toshiba, Sony, and Acer. If you have the exact pink laptop you want picked out and can’t find any special deals, these websites are solid choices for making your purchase.

Pink Laptop Accessories

Besides buying your actual pink laptop, you need to consider what accessories you are going to need based on how you’ll be using your new computer. If you’ll be carrying it around a bunch, you might need a case or carrying bag. If you’ll be using it to work on a lot, you might want a separate full sized keyboard and mouse that match. Also, if you’re not going to be doing a lot of heavy work on the computer, you might want to consider getting a pink netbook instead – it’s cheaper and is great for light tasks such as searching the internet and chatting with friends.

Pink Laptop Prices

One of the biggest things to consider when shopping for your new laptop is how much it will cost. Keep in mind what your own personal budget is and go from there. If you need a high end computer, you have to be willing to spend more money on that perfect pink laptop that can do all the computing tasks you need it to. If you just want something for fun, you can probably spend a little bit less to get something that will fulfill all of your needs.
